Even that is a stretch considering the car’s use. If you can get 500 for it, take it.

$500 sounds about right, but if you spend a like 300 more to top up the condition, im sure that you can get a selling price of around 2 grand

Check out Autotrader.com.
Look for something similar to what you have, and try to match up the really important stuff like mileage and body condition. You should be able to see what cars like that are selling for, and get an idea of what you can get out of it.
You can also call your local library. They should have an NADA guide, and it should give you an approximate resell value.
Good luck!

Your best bet would be to sell the rims separately. Nobody cares about the graphics, muffler, shift kit, shifter knob or seats. If you can get a couple of hundred for the rims, you could still probably sell the car for $500 with stock wheels. But if you sell them together, you wont get full value for the rims.

Ask 600 to 700 and let someone offer you 500 or so and they will think they are getting a deal and you might get what you want…
Everyone wants a deal…

Ur best bet would be to take the car apart and sell all the good stuff, that way u might get, if ur lucky, $1000. However if u sell the car whole u owont get the most money out of the car. Sell the engine, rims, spoiler, etc. to seperate people. This way u will get sooooo much more money. trust me.

in new zealand this would cost you to dispose at a junkyard. If you can get $500 I suggest you give half back with an apology for ripping off the buyer, then use the other half to get a bus out of town. Sell the seat overs on Ebay and dump the rest

I AM A TECH AT HONDA AND I BUY AND SELL CARS ALL THE TIME. I WOULD SELL FOR 1,700 BUT WONT SETTLE FOR LESS THAN 1,200. PEOPLE ARE GONNA PUT THEIR OWN SOUND SYSTEM IN ANYWAYS. PLUS THE STRAIGHT PIPE MAKES IT SOUND NICER. CIVICS ESPECIALLY HATCHES ARE GOLD MINES/ RARE CARS NOWADAYS. EVERY ONE WANTS ONE. EASY TO FIX EASY TO HOOK UP. CHEAP TO FIX BECAUSE ITS A MANUAL. TRY TO EXPLAIN TO PEOPLE NOT TO BE SCARED BY THE MILEAGE. HONDAS ARE BUILT TO LAST FOREVER. I HAD A 86 CIVIC SI WITH 2,790,876 MILES (WOW) BEFORE I SOLD IT NOTHING WRONG WITH IT FOR 2,300.
IT WILL BE HARD TO SELL BECAUSE ITS A STICK BUT YOU HAVE TO GIVE IT TIMEAND BE PATIENT. YOU HAVE TO FIND YOUNG PEOPLE BECAUSE THATS WHO PRIMARILY DRIVE CIVICS OLDER PEOPLE WANT ACCORDS. I HAVE CURRENTLY A CRX SI 90 IM SELLING FOR 4,000 WITH MODS AND 180,000 MILES.
