If something is advertised as leather and it is actually made of?


PVC does this contravene the trades description act. I ask because their is an item being sold on ebay Honda S-MX seat covers stating they are leather when infact they are PVC. Thank you in advance for all your answers

I would think so, they should be saying simulated leather not genuine leather.

    In a retail situation this would contravene the trades descriptions act but I am not sure how this applies to a private sale or second hand goods or to EBAY. Maybe you could ask some advice from EBAY themselves or maybe the local Trading Standards Office or Citizen’s advice Bureau if in UK.
