I am going to get custom leather seat cover for this vehicle I brought back in Edmonton Canada in Aug 2009 but I am outside the country right now. Retailer here need to know that if all Toyota sold in Canada are made in Canada or import from Japan? Is the front seat and back seat follow the American standard or Japanese standard? Apparently they have different dimension. All I can remember is backseat can be fold down and it is divided 60/40. I can’t remember fine details such as: Is there a folder-able arm rest in the middle of the back seat? Is there any headrest in the backseat? If there is. How many are there? Are they removable? If the front headrest removable? Does anyone know the extract dimension of the front seats and back seat? I don’t have my user’s manual with me and I didn’t drive the car long enough to remember all those details. Thanks very much for the help.

well you could always call a dealership and ask them.

but no for sure they are not imported from japan. they have a few corolla factories in north america and i know atleast one is here in ontario.

so for sure they’ll follow the american dimensions.

Its a 1995 toyota tercel. I am just going to buy seat covers for the seats but I want the interior to be either black or red. I am trying to save money but I know this wont be cheap. Is there maybe some kind of paint I could possibly get that would change the color for me

You can paint it. There are many how to sites out there. Basically disassemble all parts you wanna paint, prep the parts(sand&clean with soap&warmH2O use a very fine git sand paper and a lil water is okay)Lightly sand all your parts and wipe clean with soapy water. Dry well use a blowdryer on any vinyl or leather parts that might hold water. Next hit it all with a coat of primer(all around it),let dry,hit wit a second coat, let completely dry, wipe down with a clean cloth lightly sand any rough spots. Next paint one sweeping overlapping coat at a time once the first coat is dry apply second and so on till you got what you want. I did my wifes Escort for around $25. I used 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of paint.
BE VERY CAREFUL when putting the parts back in.Hittim em with a coat of clear coat might help.

Hey y’all. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find free instructions to make a homemade dashcover. My car is a little Toyota Corola so it should be easy enough. I’m already in the process of making homemade car seat covers and they are the cutest!! Anywho, I know you will have the answers. So THANX in advance!!! :> Luv, GLOBUG

You need a pattern.

Cut a length of muslin and drape it over your dashboard. Using a pen, mark the edges. Cut out the shape & carefully put the muslin back on the dash for a "fitting". If it fits, Place the sheet of muslin on a large piece of paper and trace your pattern.

Select your fabric, using your pattern, cut the dashboard cover. If you make it with more than two layers, tack the layers together and finish 5he outside edge with purchased seam binding. Unless you made your own binding with bias strips.

You should have a look at parkers used car guide or glasses
used car guide. These are small books which tell you the value
of most vehicles. They can be bought at most newsagents.
You could also try an internet search for your car to find out
how much its worth.

My personal opinion on what your car might be worth is around
£500.00 maximum. This is due to its age and mileage.
