I’m currently looking for car seat covers and have no idea what size to buy. The car I have is a hatchback if that makes a difference. :)

It’s best to get the ones that are specifically designed for the vehicle. I would say check Google and eBay and also check with the Toyota dealership. I have tried so many seat covers on my ‘07 Yaris Sedan and none of them have fit quite right. The seats are kind of awkward.

My seat belt is starting to fray…

It is worth checking with Toyota. Since it’s a safety device, and it has worn out before its time*, they may give you a break on replacing it. If you want to play hard ball, tell them you either want it replaced for free or you want something in writing saying that it is safe to use as is. If you’re persistent, it might work, because they are not going to want to take on the liability of certifying a damaged seatbelt as safe. Worth a try, right?

*Assuming normal use. If your dog chewed it or something you’re SOL.

Im trying to put some seat covers for the back bench seat BUT (ehmm) I cannot figure out how to move the seat forward. This car is fairly frustrating when you try to do things to it. Well?

The back seat of the 2001 Corolla has 2 options. The only difference between the 2 options is one has a split cushion on the back rest, where one side is bigger than the other. The other option is just a straight cushion for the back rest (1 piece). Either one of these will have a 1 piece bottom cushion.

If you have the split tops (where one side is bigger than the other), you should be able to pull them forward with a latch somewhere near the headrests. Another place some manufactures keep the latch is in the trunk. It’s not as common in the trunk though. Once the latch is pulled and the seat is forward, you should be able to install your tops.

Regardless of which seat option you have, you will need to remove the bottom cushion to properly install the covers, and ensure they won’t move around after install. The bottom can be removed on most vehicle back seats, by firmly lifting up on the front part of the bottom cushion. Most cars, the bottom cushion isn’t even bolted in, just held in be clips, to easily clip in and out. If by chance it doesn’t easily come out when you pull up, then that means you do happen to have it bolted in. In that case, there are only 2 bolts for the bottom cushion, they will either be found through the crack of the seat, or the front skirt area, by where the backs of your legs are (you can lift up the fabric to see the bolts).

Now if you have the 1 piece top, you need to remove the whole cushion from the car to do the install for that. Most cases, these are held in by 2 bolts on the bottom corners. After removing those, you need to pull up on the seat to remove, as the top part of the cushion will be anchored in the frame of the vehicle with hooks. When you re-install, you need to make sure those hooks are back in, before you bolt up and finish your job.

With any other questions, you can go on my profile and email me. Good luck!

My hubby and I just bought a 2006 Toyota Corolla LE and I am wondering if anyone knows of a good place online to order seat covers and maybe some other accessories like a car bra or rock guard ect.

I am just nervous about buying seat covers online because I don’t know how they will fit. Anyone found a site they like? Or had experience with this?

It may be a little pricey but sometimes the Toyota dealer sells accessories (seat covers, floor mats, etc.) for new cars. Toyota still builds that style of Corolla so you might get lucky, shop around.

I have Toyota Corolla.
I already change front seat cover and I get stuck with the back one.
How you change it?
Thanks for your advise

you have to take the seat out. You can most likely go to the nearest auto shop and ask them to put it in they may charge you a small fee. Or call they place where you got them from Im sure they could tell you.

It all depends on how much you want to spend and what type of cover you want.

For a basic option, I would recommend going to a place like Wal-Mart or the local parts store and getting cover which the seat style on the box matches your van’s style. This is the cheapest option too.

If you want an extermely durable product, Wet Okole is one of the best. It’s made of a neoprene fabric that is highly resistant – it is also a custom fit and I believe they can make pretty much anything. The catch is they aren’t cheap. Try them out here: http://wetokole.net/page/WOH/PROD/TOY/TOYF

In the middle of the price range, you are going to have a difficult time finding a custom fit seat cover. There just simply isn’t a high enough demand in the marketplace to keep making seat covers for an 80’s Toyota van (sorry).

But… you may want to take a close look at the seats in your van and the seats in other Toyotas – particularily a similar year 4Runner or Pick-up. There is a decent change that the seats are similar (or maybe even the same), Time to peek into some windows at the local shopping mall! If they look the same, order some for the vehicle and go for it!

Last option – upholstery shop. They can make just about anything… for a price. Sometimes upholstery shops that specialize boats can do the same a bit cheaper though.

I’m interested in purchasing two black car seat covers for my 2006 Toyota Corolla LE and putting this image on it: http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m14/synth_freak/psyclonnine_ogo.gif
If anyone knows a good website for designing an appropriate car seat cover, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

best bet is to buy one from wal-mart and finding an embroidery shop or screan printing shop to put it on there for you.

i’ve looked on amazon.com for mainly seat covers for a 4-door small toyota car [that cover the front two seats as well as the back seat] but they don’t have much of a variety and nothing i REALLY like. they’re also approximately $60 for the two front seats and the back seat.

i was wondering if anyone knew of a place that sells nice washable seat covers FOR BOTH FRONT SEATS AND BACK SEATS with perhaps matching floor mats that’s not TOO pricey and looks nice for a girl :) well, the floor mats don’t have to match, if anything i can get black ones but where can i get good ones that aren’t too pricey [floor mats as well as seat covers]? and what material would be good for both the summer and winter? i don’t wanna burn my butt in the summer or freeze in the winter.

i would also like a matching steering wheel cover if possible? anyone know of any?
